I've had a lovely little Spring Break, chilling, having a good time. Mining for crystals in Arkansas, going to concerts, spending some quality time with my buddies and with my art supplies.
In other news, I gave up DA for lent, mostly because I was spending 2 hours a day just surfing and being in awe of other people's art, and it was eating up all of my time. So that's why I have been very scarce lately; I can now only get on during Sundays, until after Easter.
Secondly, my parents bought a new scanner. Hooray! It scans up to 4000 DPI! This is insane when you consider that a normal photo is about 300 DPI. I scanned some art today and zoomed in on it to see things I could never see with my naked eye, like traces of my fingerprints and tiny rivers of ink flooding crevaces in the paper. Just bizarre man.
Last of all, I was rejected. I didn't get the full ride to Missouri state. But the good news is that I got Bright Flight ($3000 a year), as well as Board of Governers ($7000 a year) and Pfizer National Merit ($3000 a year). This means that, cha-ching! All four years of college are almost paid for! All I have left is $4000 total and I will be a happy happy girl.
